I'm a child psychologist, a professor of clinical psychology, and the director of a clinic for young children with emotional and behavioral problems, My nonfiction publications focus on children's mental health and the importance of healthy parenting. You may have seen me on NBC Today talking about my work to help parents manage children's screen time.
When I have the chance to step away from the chaos of the world, center myself, and strengthen my connection to the land, I can be found riding horses through the forests of Michigan and the arroyos of northern New Mexico.
My first novel, Shorn, book one of The Sky Seekers, was published in 2022. Books two and three of the series, Cael’s Shadow and Avelune are also now available. Cael’s Legacy, the final book in the series, will be released in 2024 by Stone Raven Press.
